Afternoon: My baking did not stop after breakfast. I decided to take the long process of baking dozens of chocolate chip cookies for all of my mom’s friends and my friends for Mother’s day. You must be thinking “ WOW Emma you are such a nice person” and yes I do want to do something nice for people but I also want to do something for a couple of hours (so I wouldn’t get bored ), Plus, I can possibly see people when I go and drop them off, so I went and started baking these thousand layered chocolate chip cookies. I made sure that I made around 4 dozen of these cookies because I was going to be giving them to 7 families. I spent an hour just listening to Cd’s and dancing while I made the cookies (filming the whole process). I never appreciated how much fun listening to music and baking was. I would always be watching something or talking to someone. It was relaxing to not have to stress and just have some fun.

I then decorated some cards that said “ Happy Mother’s Day” and wrote a short note for each family and put the cookies in little bags to leave them in front of people’s houses. I was able to just think and relax while making the cards. I said before that throughout the day I did not have to constantly think about what is happening on social media and I am not just picking up my phone every moment because I am bored. I believe just adding small activities to my schedule made me think less about all the free time that I have.
