Night:
Although my jamming and cleaning session was cut short from my family’s normal form of conversation. In which they yell to talk to me from downstairs and I yell talk from upstairs.
“Clarissa come downstairs”
“Ok!... Wait why?”
“Emma is here”
I thought I misheard so I asked
“Who?”
“Emma!”
At this point, this is the second time I have been highly confused but have tried to play it off like I know what is happening. (when I really don’t). I walk downstairs to see Emma in a mask waiting at the door. I wanted to give her a hug but that was not aloud due to corona. We stood there for a bit and chatted, in all honesty, it was really nice to see one of my friends and the ability to talk to someone that isn’t immediate family. Then Emma left on her way to finishing the rest of her deliveries.
Her appearance made me realize an interesting dynamic. In which when I have my phone I feel like I am overly connected like the sheer fact that anyone can talk to me whenever somewhat takes away my peace of mind. Don’t get me wrong I enjoy talking to people although sometimes the ability is too powerful and I talk to others to distract myself from my thoughts or the homework that I am ignoring. Although by not being able to talk to my friends for 2 days but having a hint of talking to my friends made me just want to call them and talk for a few hours.
