Morning:
Non-existent/slept through it
Afternoon:
It was mother’s day! I woke up at 12 and went to Mom’s room to wish her Happy Mother’s Day! Then she said
“Oh, you’re making breakfast for me?”
Then I stood there confused and was like
“yeah...that was totally the plan the whole time...” I said very unconvincingly as I shook my head.
“Umm...yeah BRI AND I HAVE BEEN MAKING BREAKFAST THE WHOLE TIME” I slightly shouted in the direction of Bri’s room.
Then I shut the door and grab Bri out of bed and we quickly move downstairs. We started brainstorming ideas of what to make. Bri claims that she was the one that thought of the ideas of eggs benedict but that is f a l s e. So as she searched for a recipe I started toasting bread because hey how can you mess that up? Well I mean there was one time I almost set the house on fire trying to toast some bread, but it was ONE time! Also, it was in the past so we can just pretend that it never happened.

Then I peeled many potatoes since Bri told me to make hashbrowns. It was very much so a “Yes chef!” mentality if you know what I mean. Bri made the eggs benedict and it was eh somewhat successful. Let’s just say that if you put a photo of eggs benedict next to Bri’s creation, it would look Bri’s creation was “deconstructed”, but it still tasted very good. All and all it took us 2 hours! How does Cheesecake Factory do it!?

Although it felt like I was cooking for years it was very satisfying and fulfilling to do something for others and also being able to enjoy it yourself. It also made me realize how thankful I should be when my family cooks since I usually come downstairs and enjoy it when reality it took a long time for them to make the food. As Bri and I waited for the rest of my family to join us at the table Bri picks up her phone and I just got a book. Honestly, it was slightly frustrated that I also couldn’t pick up my phone to talk to my friends. Dad and Mom eventually came downstairs and took a photo and posted it before she ate to show her friends what her daughters did for her. And I continued to read my book, starting to want my phone more and more.
